Can’t get reps from Facebook? Maybe you are doing things backwards. You can build a huge down-line from Facebook alone, but most of the people I see online, that are trying to build their Network Marketing businesses on the social networks, are making huge mistakes, and wasting a lot of time and effort.

I remember when I began, saying all those wrong things to prospects myself, and leaving Facebook conversations feeling like an idiot. Before I figured this out I used to just push people away by trying to shove my business down their throats. So to save you from some of the same pain, here is the way out of the idiot box, and into the beachfront vacation home.

Don’t start by telling everyone that they should join your company. This positions you as a salesman. Nobody likes to be sold to, but people do like to buy of their own volition. You might get a couple quick sign-ups this way, but they will often quit just as fast as they joined.

Brand yourself as a leader. Attract people to you with your knowledge and leadership by helping them with their challenges. A few good tips about how to build a business like a professional is often more help then they ever received from their up-line. People really don’t care that much about which company they join, most of the top network marketing companies all have great products and compensation plans. That is not the problem. What they want to know is that they have a leader who can guide them to success, and not someone who is going to tell them to go out and recruit strangers at shopping malls once they get through their warm market.

Build relationships. Take time to get to know your prospects before you try to sell to them. Contrary to the out-dated recruiting methods that many network marketing companies still teach, you really don’t want Everyone to join your business. The wrong reps can cause you a lot of extra time training and hand-holding, and they often end up quitting before you make any money from them. What you want are experienced networkers, or ambitious biz-op seekers, people who understand what it takes be successful in network marketing. That is your best target market.

Make sure the relationship will be mutually beneficial. Are they looking for what you have? You will want to work with prospects who are either looking for guidance and mentorship from you, or with successful leaders who want to partner up with a good leader like yourself. Anyone else, and you will be doing a lot of selling and convincing with the wrong people.

Imagine getting 23 serious business builders joining your team this month, and some of them bringing a down-line with them.
