ACN Reviews
ACN Reviews Overview: ACN is a network marketing company that provides phone, TV, and related services. They are currently the largest direct provider of these services in the world, doing business in over twenty countries. They function on the concept of cutting out all advertising costs, by having their representatives sell to people they already know, and then passing on the savings to both the customers and representatives. Their flagship product is the ACN Video Phone, which allows people to see each other when they talk on the phone. ACN has been in business for over 15 years, and continue to experience exponential growth each year. They are fully endorsed by Donald J. Trump; his videos have been on ACN’s website and DVDs, and he speaks at many of their international conventions. The ACN reviews show that the company was also recently featured on his TV show, the Celebrity Apprentice.

ACN Reviews – Cost to join:
It costs $500 to become an ACN independent representative, and an additional $149 a year to stay active. The only other recurring bill would be the optional distributor website, that comes with a downline reporting service, for about $30 a month. (DVDs, brochures, other marketing materials, and attending regional or international training events, would be optional added expenses). According to ACN reviews this is a very reasonable price to start your own home business, considering that they handle all of the billing, inventory, accounting, payroll, and a few dozen other things that you would have to learn how to do yourself if you started a business on your own.
The compensation plan in the ACN Reviews has two main focuses. The primary one is residual income, with the goal of getting paid percentages of thousands of phone and TV bills for life. It takes a little time to build this residual income, so ACN pays upfront bonuses to representative as new people join their teams and acquire a small handful of customers.
ACN Reviews – Position levels:
• Qualified: you have your first few customers.
• Executive Team Trainer (ETT): you have three qualified team members. Compensation: up to $3,000 a month.
• Executive Team Leader (ETL): you have three ETTs in your donwline. Compensation: up to $7,000 a month.
• Team Coordinator (TC): Your three teams each have a total of 200 customer points (approximately 100 customers for each team), and you have 20 personal customer points (about 10 customers). Compensation: up to $24,000 a month.
• 3 Star Regional Vice President (RVP): you have three TCs in your downline, each on separate legs.
• 4 Star Regional Vice President: you have four TCs in your downline, each on separate legs. RVP Compensation: up to $44,000 a month + car and expense allowance.
• Senior Vice President (SVP): you have 6 separate legs, 3 with RVPs, and three with TCs. Compensation: unlimited.
The figures above are the bonus side of the compensation plan. There will also be residual income profits, which are designed to eventually exceed the bonuses. You can become SVP with just 20 personal customer points (about 10 customers), but in order to receive the highest level of residual income you will need to double that to 40 points (about 20 customers). The percentage of residual income received varies depending on what level of your downline the customer is in, but it can be as high as 8%.
Although some people do receive the profit levels listed above, many people work very hard and earn less then half of those figures. In ACN, representatives often reach the next position level prior to ever earning the highest profits from the previous level. So to be realistic in the ACN Reviews, the first thing you might want to do is cut all the above figures in half, and realize that it is still going to require training and hard work. The profit figures will still be quite large. There are also many representatives who earn nothing, but that is usually due to not putting in any work, fear of selling, lack of ambitious, or a get-rich-quick-without-working mindset.
ACN Reviews – Cons:
1) People tend to be less passionate about these services than products such as health and wellness, which comprise the majority of product lines for many other network marketing. Your customers may not be all that excited about the products.
2) Contracts and early cancellation fees for these types of services have left a bad taste in many people’s mouths. Customers will sometimes be annoyed with these type of sales transactions, and nitpick all the details, due to bad experiences with other more traditional companies in the past
3) Some potential customers may be locked into a contract already with another service provider.
4) ACN began as a discount phone service, and still strives for better value with their services, but sometimes the phone, TV, and Internet bundles from the cable companies are a better deal, with the added convenience of a single bill.
ACN Reviews – Pros:
1) Everyone has, needs, and uses these services everyday. The fact that there is less excitement about phone and TV services then there might be about a miracle juice from the Amazon is far outweighed by the fact that literally EVERYONE is your potential customer. Your target market is huge! For health and wellness it is much smaller.
2) Having some customers, who might find ordering these services tedious, is far outweighed by the fact that literally everyone is your potential customer.
3) Finding that some potential customers might already be in a contract with another company, or a lower priced bundle, is offset by the fact that ACN provides so many different services. If a person is willing to be your customer, you can almost always sign them up for at least one of the ACN services, without affecting their other contracts.
4) Technology buffs are often very excited about the ACN video phones.
5) Donald Trump has fully endorsed this company, and it is the only company outside of his own businesses for which he has ever made such an endorsement. He is the most well known entrepreneur in the world, and he recommends ACN as a phenomenal wealth building system.
6) ACN has cornered the Video Phone market, as of this writing.
ACN Reviews Summary: ACN supplies training on relationship marketing, which basically means selling and recruiting to friends, family members, and acquaintances. While this does work well for one’s own personal customers, when it comes to building a team, I always recommend that the fastest way to build a network marketing business in the information age is to learn online marketing skills.

Kevin,
Good info and well presented.
Keep up the good reports.
My experience as an ACN rep was brief, and awful. Normally I wouldn’t join a pyramid scheme (a.k.a MLM), but the way this was presented to me it sounded like it was a legitimate opportunity. Here is why ACN is a scam. My “upline mentor” signed up me and a friend at about the same time. My mentor had been in ACN for about a year. Long story short, both my friend and I quit right away once we realized this was all just a big scam. However, my mentor stayed in it a few more months before quitting himself. All three of us lost money, and my mentor lost the most of all of us! Now if this was a good scam, he would’ve at least profitted himself by scamming me and my friend out of our money. However, most of that money only went to the people WAY above my mentor. Why would anyone in their right mind participate in a scam that scams people out of their money and then the money goes to somebody else besides you, who didn’t even put forth the effort to scam the person themself? I remember my mentor explaining how he doesn’t make any money off me really, so I figured that meant he had no reason to scam me. But the scam is so bad that it even scams the scammer. I even think those at the very top of ACN are scamming themselves because even if they make some good money, it will eventually run out once the pyramid collapses. Not to mention how many people probably mock and hate them, including their own friends and family. I can’t imagine continually spewing a bunch of robotic, cult-like, ACN hype 24-7, year after year. Even if I got paid 10 grand a month to do it, I don’t know if I could sleep at night knowing I am just a snake oil salesman in sheeps clothing.
Roger, I have heard similar stories. Let me try to address a few points. First of all a pyramid scheme does not sell products or services. It is like the chain letter pyramid that used to float around: Send me $5 and I’ll send you info to mail to 100 people who each send you $5, and when they each send out 100 you get an additional percentage down to many levels and eventually make a million dollars with absolutely no product or service being sold. Those are illegal.
The network marketing business model is not all that much different from the corporate pyramid: The owner gets paid more than the board of directors, who get paid more than the managers, assistant managers, supervisors, workers, janitors, etc. That is a pyramid that you cannot move up on.
Now with ACN, I have heard stories just like yours, and I also have some personal contacts who are making a fortune in ACN. This company can be extremely profitable, not just for people at the top, but for people just starting out also. If it were truly a scam entrepreneurs like Donald Trump would not risk their reputations on endorsing it.
People struggle with this company for two reasons: 1) They don’t realize how much effort is required to build your own business, and they simply don’t work at it hard enough and long enough to succeed, or 2) They don’t learn to use effective Internet marketing strategies when their warm market dries up. If your up-line does not teach this, you have come to the right place.
But if this type of work really makes you feel like a “snake oil salesman in sheeps clothing” I would guess that this is just not suited for your personality. You need to find a business that you are passionate about, and work around the clock at it until you are in profit.
FYI
It’s simple, simple, simple math people. First off ACN is not a scam …period. Nor is it an illegal pyramid scheme. It is legit, it is in very poor taste but it is legit. Think of it this way….
Upfront $500
say you buy a couple of products to boost yourself
set up costs for each 50$ – total $100
monthly recurring charge say one is $15 and one is $40
say in two months you get your first check $40
then the promises that oh you are just 3 product subscriptions away from the next level where you get the big bonus… you make it in another week and get the check $420 dollars.
WOW this is growing…
a couple of weeks later you get another check for $50. cha ching!
That is $510 dollars you just made your money back .
This IS how it plays out people… now lets break down what this means.
My son got sucked into ACN and I see firsthand how many hours he pours into it daily. I will be conservative and say he puts 25 hours a week into it and that’s over a lets say summer break, 3 months give or take. 4 weeks a month 3 months 25 hours a week… 300 hours. Conservatively. 510 dollars divided by 300 hours is …. $1.70 an hour … after taxes. If you worked at any McDonald in the world for half those hours you would have made more than you gave ACN, think it through people.
But wait there is more.
You forgot about the money you gave THEM. If you total up the numbers I gave you earlier you have given them $765 of your money so if we subtract the $510 they gave you, you have a net loss of $255 for your 300 hours of dedication.
So lets do the math again. -255/300 is you giving them $0.85 an hour to let you recruit more people to give them at least $500 bucks a person. Like i said before it is legal but in poor taste.
I think most of us are intelligent enough to see where I am going with this argument. If not email me and ill carry on for you.
Let me explain how I handled the pressure from my son. I went to the meeting prepared …. not with tricky questions. Not with marketing stratagem arguments. I went… with my bank statement and a smart phone.
When we were all hob knobbing and talking about how we are all going to get rich on this i said to the group of 27 people there that I wanted to ask a question. Once I had their attention I said if you are a guest and not a rep sit down… 4 people sat down. 23 left. I said if you live with your parents sit down. Only 3 left stand. Myself and 2 gentlemen (happened to be roommates) in their 20′s. I said ok I have a challenge I will sign up today if you can meet it. Here is a copy of my bank statement printed a couple of hours before I came here look at the time stamp. If either of you can show me your bank statement right here on my phone and have as much money as I do I will give you the credit and I will sign up under you. I left that day never signing up with ACN and never being harassed to come back.
Of course they had every reason and excuse in the world from I have a high paying job to it takes time to build to the level they want to reach, but is that not true of everything worth striving for in life?
This is a 100% true story. I’m nobody special. I am a 40 year old video game enthusiast. I am a regional training manager for McDonalds not a high paying job at all. I own my own small 3 bedroom 115,000 dollar home. That day my bank statement had $233.41 in it. Please realize people that your time is valuable and it is worth more than the -$0.85 an hour ACN is willing to pay you.
