When another network marketer tells you “I Want to Join Your Network Marketing Biz,” you have just found a great leader for your down-line who will be worth 100 friends or family members. You won’t need to do any convincing about the value of MLM, they already know that it is a great business model. They are not just considering a home-based business; they have bought into the industry already. They know it is going to cost money, and that it will be worth it. They understand networking, and they are good at it. They are passionate about building a million dollar business and are not going to quit on you. Other network marketers are actually your best target market.
But they already have a network marketing business! Yes, and they may be very happy with that, and may not be interested in yours at all. But there are 3 VERY COMMON REASONS why they might want to join yours.
1) Their up-line completely abandoned them after they paid, and they have no leadership. I have seen this in many companies. If you provide leadership by letting them know how you help your team members, you often will be the mentor they have been searching for.
2) They got involved in a health and nutrition company and didn’t realize there were telecommunication MLMs; they got into a makeup business and didn’t know there were travel, or personal development MLMs. The list goes on, and your biz could suit their personality much better than the one a friend introduced them to when they first got started in the industry. This actually happened to me once, and when I found a company I could believe in more than the one I randomly was recruited into, I switched.
3) Their up-line continually tells them to do things that absolutely do not work, and when they try to work smarter, with ideas like building their business online and using professional marketing methods, they are greeted with cultish fanaticism, and sometimes downright hostility, about out-dated warm-market methods. This has also happened to me in the past
If you provide leadership, learn professional Internet marketing, help other network marketers with marketing advice, and then let them know what company you believe in, without pushing for a sale, a percentage of them will come to you and say “I Want to Join Your Network Marketing Biz!!!”
Online Social networks like Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, and Squidoo are a great place to seek out other network marketers. It is important to realize, however, that you will need to get your message out there consistently in order to develop personal brand recognition, so that you get enough bites that people start actually coming to you. But if you brand yourself properly, there will be no more chasing or selling to people ever again, they will come to you.
