Monavie Review

Monavie review: Monavie is a Network Marketing company that sells health and wellness products made from the Acai berry. This berry is indigenous to the South American countries of Brazil and Peru, where it is known for it’s amazing healing and anti-aging properties. The Acai berry is considered a Super-Fruit, due to its very high level of anti-oxidants and phytonutrients, which help cleanse free radicals from the body, and maintain optimal health. Monavie juice products are contained in very classy looking wine-style bottles, which are sold by the case. Aspiring network marketers can become distributors for Monavie, and build a team of distributors below them. They are able to receive commissions on both their own sales, and the sales of their team, which can grow into quite a high-profit stream of residual income. The company was founded in January of 2005, they are located in over half a dozen countries around the world, and they continue to experience rapid growth.

Monavie Review – Products

Monavie harvests Acai berries from the jungles of Brazil, and then combines them with as many as 18 different health promoting berries and fruits, such as cupuaçu, camu camu, aronia, acerola, blueberry, bilberry, and pomegranate, to create their proprietary blends of juice products. There are several versions of Monavie juice, all of which are made with the Acai berry as an essential ingredient.

• MonaVie Active: with added plant-derived glucosamine, to promote healthy joint function.
• MonaVie Pulse: with added plant sterols, for lowering cholesterol and improving the cardiovascular system.
• MonaVie EMV: a lightly carbonated version of their proprietary fruit blend, for increased performance, endurance, and    concentration. This is a healthy energy drink—without the usual subsequent crash.
• MonaVie Kosher: a fusion of the Brazilian Açai berry and 18 other beneficial fruits, designed to incorporate a Balance-Variety-Moderation approach to nutrition.
• MonaVie (M)mūn: a blend of 19 fruits and Wellmune®—to promote proper immune function.

Monavie Review – Cost to join

To become a distributor of Monavie products, there is a $39 license charge, with a $20 annual renewal fee. However, in order to receive profits you must also be on autoship, which means automatically being billed for monthly shipments of Monavie products. For the first level of the commission structure, there is a monthly cost of $130, which will bring you a case of Monavie juice each month. However, to maximize your profits from the compensation plan, you will need to order twice that amount monthly. So in order to take full advantage of the compensation plan there will be a $320 initial investment, plus $260 a month for products. But you can still earn good commissions with just a $130 monthly personal autoship.

Monavie Review – Compensation Plan

The Monavie review shows that the company pays its representatives through both commissions and bonuses. The commissions are derived from a Binary compensation plan. This means that your team of representatives will fall into two separate legs, left and right. The leg where you have the highest sales volume is usually considered your Power Leg. The leg with the weaker sales volume is referred to as the Pay Leg. This is the leg from which you earn profits. Your commission in Monavie will be 10% of the total profits from your lesser-volume leg.
To begin earning profits you will first need to be Active, and secondly you will need to be Qualified.
Active = purchasing 1 case of products on autoship (but 2 cases will maximizes your profits).

Qualified = having 2 personally recruited team members, one in each leg of the Binary structure, who are also Qualified and Active

You will then receive 10% commissions on the sales volume of your lesser leg in the Binary Structure.

There are many other ways within the Monavie compensation plan to earn additional Bonuses. These bonuses fall into the following categories:

1 DIRECT SALES AND PREFERRED CUSTOMER BONUS
2 TOP RETAILERS BONUS
3 BULK ORDER BONUS
4 FIRST ORDER BONUS
5 STAR MAKER BONUS
6 TEAM BONUSES
7 EXECUTIVE CHECK MATCH BONUS
8 LEADERSHIP BONUS
9 MULTIPLE BUSINESS CENTERS

Monavie Review -Rank Qualifications

As you move up in sales volume in Monavie, your position title will change, and the type of profits that you qualify for will increase. This is referred to as your Rank Qualification.

Rank Qualification, listed from new representative to the highest level in the company.

• Star: You are Qualified and Active, and have two personally recruited team members, one in each leg, who are also Qualified and Active. Subsequent Rank requirements will simply be more sales volume and more team members. The Ranks are as follows.
• Star 500
• Star 1000
• Bronze
• Silver
• Gold
• Ruby
• Emerald
• Diamond
• Hawaiian Blue Diamond
• Black Diamond
• Higher Black Diamond levels include: Royal, Presidential, Imperial, Crown, Double Crown, and Triple Crown—Black Diamond

Monavie Review – Pros

1) Monavie capitalizes one of the largest emerging trends in the world. More and more people have been purchasing health and wellness products in recent years. This is a growing billion-dollar industry.

2) The Monavie review shows that the company has passed the 5-year mark, which is a longevity milestone for most companies. They have proven their strength as a company, and they will most likely not be going out of business any time soon.

3) People who are drawn to Health and Wellness products tend to be very passionate about them. This passion and enthusiasm helps create momentum, which then translates into higher profits.

4) The stylish wine bottles that Monavie juices are delivered in can add a nice air of sophistication when entertaining guests at home for events in which drinks containing alcoholic would be less appropriate.

5) As with any solid network marketing company, in Monavie there is potential for unlimited personal profits and lifelong residual income.

Monavie Review – Cons

1) The cost of autoship in Monavie is quite high. Health conscious consumers who seek nutritional supplements will frequently spend $40, $50, or even $80 a month on their health concerns. But $130, or twice that amount if you order two cases a month, is quite steep for many people.

2) Monavie really only has one product, with several variations: Juice made from the Acai berry. Many other Health and Wellness network marketing companies have more of a variety of products, such as lines of vitamins, weight loss products, herbs, amino acids, etc.

3) People who have trouble growing their team in Monavie frequently spend more money than they ever make. They will often spend themselves out of business trying to afford their autoship fees each month.

4) The company uses a traditional word-of –mouth form of network marketing, which worked fairly well in the 70s, but people often struggle with this approach in the computer age.

5) They supply no substantial Internet Marketing training.

Monavie Review – Summary

There have been quite a few millionaires made in Monavie, but also quite a few people who have spent more money on the products then they ever made in profits. If you do get involved with Monavie, the one thing that I recommend is that you learn to build your business with professional Internet marketing strategies, in addition to the word-of-mouth approach that they teach. There is a way to build your entire network marketing business much faster and easier online. For details about this, follow the link to Kevin Thomas Marketing.

So is Monavie a Scam, or a Wealth Success Plan? You decide.

Monavie is a great company but doesn’t work for very many people. The cost of making the juice is very high, hence the price, but if it was reasonable and comparable to what people already spend ,most people would buy it and more distributors would make more instead of the few.

That is a valid point. I would have to agree. In this company, if the cost of product auto-shipments, which is a requirement to stay active and continue to earn commissions, were a bit lower, there would be much less attrition. KT

The flip side of having been around for 5 years is that most serious networkers have already heard about them. It’s hard to interest an experienced networker in a ‘tired older’ company.

The price is similar to other juice. Yes, there are loyal users, for sure.

I like the Acai Juice I get at the health food store, but that would be bad news for someone who would try to atrract me to the company. Another me-too juice, no matter how good and no matter whether they were first.

Good article.

Rick, There are both pros and cons to more established companies. Brand new MLMs get a lot of momentum fast, and you can make some good profits by joining at the beginning. However, many new MLMs will go out of business within a few years. Business savvy people, which are who you want in your downline, know this and will often ask for a company track record. If it has stood the test of time they will often be more likely to join. KT

Team and Mona Vie offers nothing but empty promises, there so-called “opportunity” is nothing but a load of heaping bullhockey..Orrin and Chris are nothing but liers, cheaters and charlatans?there no better then Bernie Madoff..I hope the FTC and the IRS goes after them..cause when they do I won’t feel one bit sorry for them.. The people who write these blogs don’t understand about Team/ Mona-Vie, I used to be a distributor..there product is nothing more then over hyped, over priced juice, you can get the same kind of stuff at the supermarket..that is cheaper and tastes alot better…

That is quite a bit of negativity about the team, the company, the biz-op. the product. It is hard to imagine that absolutely everything was that terrible or you would not have gotten involved to begin with. I don’t know about the particular team you mentioned, maybe you had really bad leadership, but I do personally know several people who have become very wealthy with this company. How did they do it? They treated it like a real business and worked around the clock at it for several years.

If you did not do the same that could by the reason you had poor results, but I don’t fault you on it 100%. Many company presentations make it look too easy, and don’t tell you what it really takes to become rich doing this type of work. The other issue is that relationship marketing often depends on having an effective list of contacts and really good communication skills. But it is the lack of business-minded contacts that usually causes people to fail, which is why I train people to use Internet marketing strategies to accelerate the growth of their business.

This is the other issue that I often fault network-marketing companies on: not providing any professional marketing training beyond talking to friends and family. But either way, with any networking marketing company people do succeed when they work really hard.

anyone been successful with this in their area?

admin September 9, 2011 at 9:50 pm

I am not a Monavie distributor, but I was for a brief time, and I did have success. I stopped promoting the products only because I was spreading myself too thin between other businesses. But your question brings up an important mindset issue. Many people start their own restaurants, and at least half of them fail within the first three years. But it is not common to ask “Has anyone had success with restaurants?” “Are restaurants a scam?” Even though we see people eating at them every day, we don’t usually hear about all the failed restaurants, and the people who succeed in the restaurant business are the ones who knew they had to work their asses off for the first few years to get into profit.

The home business industry is a heck of a lot less expensive and time consuming to get involved with than the restaurant industry, but even more people seem to fail at this than at starting restaurants. What I have seen to be the difference is that when someone joins a network marketing company, they too often look at it like a job instead of their own business, and when the “boss” doesn’t get them an immediate paycheck they quit and call it a scam. But the Monavie conventions are full of people achieving wealthy lifestyles.

They way to turn this around is to think of it like owning your own business, and choose a network marketing company with products you are passionate about simply to take care of inventory, compensation plans, accounting, etc. If you then put in half of the effort into your business that a new restaurant owner puts into his, with the incredible compensation plans that these companies have to offer you can make many times more profit than what most restaurant owners can ever hope to make. But you have to realize that Monavie, or whatever company you get involved with, is not your employer, it is your business, and you have to work very hard the first few years to get into profit. And I always recommend short-cutting the process by learning professional marketing, instead of depending only on friends and family members.
