MY STORY
“How this broke musician, with a hundred and fifty thousand dollars in debt, moved on to live the lifestyle most people only dream about.”
So far, there have been three main phases to my life. When I was a child, I really felt and believed that I could do or become anything I wanted to when I grew up, if only…. well I wasn’t quite sure. But it really felt like it had something to do with clearing mental blocks. That persistent thought, ”If only…” led me to the Personal Development field, a degree in Psychology, Transcendental Meditation, a career in Metapsychology, trauma counseling, and everything from Hypnotherapy certification to Clairvoyant training programs and Energy Healing. As you might imagine, after seven whole years in the personal growth field, I felt like a completely different person. I felt so good that I decided to take on the biggest desire I had throughout my entire life. The dream that the “if only…” blockages always used to sabotage for me. Become a Rock Star!
Sounds pretty funny, I know, but like most of us, when I first heard a cool song on the radio as a kid, it brought up majestic emotions I didn’t even know I had. I needed to learn how to create music like that. It was my life’s true passion. I was already an amateur musician, but I wanted to be great! I went to Berklee College of Music, got a second degree, wrote songs, and played in bands for a while, went back to school for a Masters in Music composition, wrote more music, recorded CDs, made music videos, got on the radio, taught students, judged songwriting competitions, wrote orchestra scores, performed every style of music you could imagine, and even worked as a music professor in a university. I was excitedly negotiating a tour of Ecuador and Europe for one of my bands, but I was still a broke musician with a hundred and fifty thousand dollars in debt, from student loans, recordings, and various music career investments, and I was starting to see big sinking ships on every horizon.
That’s when the tower fell, Tower Records that is. When the largest CD store in the country, Tower Records, went out of business, and all of my students told me they never paid for CDs anymore, that they just downloaded everything for free, I knew I had to make a change fast. Here was tangible proof that the entire industry was collapsing around me like dying dinosaurs in a new ice age. Sixty percent of industry profits (CD sales) were now lying dead in the unmarked graves of our music history books. I said to my self, “I’ve got to find another way.”
But while I had been so caught up in my own ambitions, I hadn’t noticed the people all around me that were losing their homes and pensions, drowning in debt and unable to find better jobs, people who had basically sold themselves into slavery for “secure” jobs, and had completely given up on their dreams. The music industry was a high-risk venture for myself, but these were people who did everything the “Right” way, by today’s standards! I realized that even though my career path had been a bit non-traditional, that the rest of you were really no different than myself, we were all in the same sinking ship.
My despair quickly turned to anger. In a highly advanced society such as ours, there is absolutely no excuse for these types of struggles on such a massive scale. I sent out a mental smoke signal to the universe asking for guidance, and three days later mysterious circumstances led me to taking a serious look at the home business industry.
The story of how I went from a struggling network-marketing representative, who could barely stay afloat, to becoming one of the most sought after Home Business coaches in the entire Industry, is a whole other story. But basically, I discovered the missing ingredient, the gold mine; I learned to think outside of the box; I cracked the code!
Now my music career is kicking into gear on my own terms! I live a lifestyle others only dream about, and you can too. And all of my struggles have led me to a much higher purpose. I realized that if I can do it, a broke musician with a hundred and fifty thousand dollars in debt, then anyone could. I have made it my life’s a mission to make sure that every artist, musician, or corporate executive seeking a better way of life, actually gets the opportunity to achieve it. I invite you to join me in this mission, and together we will raise the energy of the planet so that this world can become an exciting adventure again for all of us.
